Hey there surfers and beachgoers! Ready to catch some waves and soak up the sun? Let's dive into the surf zone forecast for the California coast!
Starting off in Malibu, we've got some moderate rip current risk today with surf heights ranging from 2 to 4 feet. Thunderstorms are a no-show, and the water's a bit chilly at 58 to 65 degrees. Keep an eye on the tides, and watch out for that northwest swell coming through.
Over in Ventura County, the rip current risk is high with bigger waves at 3 to 5 feet. Water temps are a tad warmer at 61 to 63 degrees, and a solid west swell is rolling in. So be extra cautious out there, folks!
Heading to Santa Barbara, it's a low rip current risk with smaller waves at 1 to 3 feet. The water's a bit warmer here at 61 to 63 degrees, and a gentle west swell is on the horizon. Time to enjoy some mellow surfing sessions!
Now, for San Luis Obispo County and Santa Barbara Central Coast Beaches, there's a high surf advisory until Wednesday morning! Waves are pumping at 9 to 13 feet on northwest-facing beaches and 4 to 7 feet on southwest-facing ones. So, if you're up for a challenge, this is your time to shine!
Remember to stay safe, watch out for rip currents, and always respect the power of the ocean. So grab your boards, wax up, and get out there to ride those waves!
