If it could happen to Caroline, it could happen to anyone.

Today, at the end of January, the month now dedicated to anti-human trafficking, it is so important to shine the spotlight brightly on what is happening to people from all walks of life, and from all around the world, every single day. We hear about it in the news. We see it in blockbuster movies, but we never think it could ever happen to us or to anyone we know or love.

Caroline bravely shares her story in the hopes that she can save some, if not many from a fate that plunders the mind, pillage the body, and destroys the soul. We are talking about human trafficking.

Caroline, a well-loved, extremely educated, and popular woman was tricked and then trafficked by someone who was supposed to love and protect her. Ripped away from her safety net and forced to commit despicable acts with strangers to line her pimp’s pockets and build his harem and empire.

Listen to her story with an open mind and an open heart. Her message could just save your life or someone that you know or love. The main weapons we must use to fight against these perpetrators are our voices. We must use them to share their stories. We must be loud and start the discussions. Shine the spotlight on their darkness.
