Sally-Anne's journey is hard to hear. No one, let alone a little girl, should have to experience the kind of trauma and abuse Sally-Anne did from her own stepfather.

Can I buy you a heart ice-cream?

That's where it all started for Sally-Anne...she shares how her Mum actually caught him getting into bed with her, (an innocent child), only to let him stay in the house. Now in her fifties and a grandmother herself, she finds the courage to share her horrific story, hoping to encourage and empower women who have faced or are currently facing similar struggles.
Despite enduring years of torment, and bullying at school, she has refused to let her past define her. With determination, she embarked on a healing path, seeking therapy, and support to get her story to the police in her thirties. Through these efforts, and publishing her own blog recalling many of her feelings, she has found some comfort and the bravery to confront her painful past.
Today, as Sally-Anne opens up about her experiences, her main goal is to inspire other women who may be trapped in abusive situations. She wants them to know they are not alone and that there is hope for a better future. Sally-Anne stands as a symbol of strength, reminding us that healing and transformation are possible, no matter how dark the past may have been.
