001: Courtney Home - Lighting up the World's Toughest Racecourse
Manage episode 273472397 series 2794937
I'm stoked to have Courtney Home on the show today. She’s one of my fellow racers on the World's Toughest Race, and we dive into her journey as well as some of the untold stories she had on the race.
Courtney is one of the most spirited, high-vibe people I’ve ever met in my entire life.
When we were out there racing, I saw how she was so independent and positive. She actually provided a lot of light and energy to everybody else around her because she has protected and fostered so much light for herself.
Today, she shares her stories of positivity and vulnerability, as well as moments that tested her character during the race.
I hope you embrace Courtney’s journey, especially if you’re looking for some spark of positivity in your life!
In this episode, you will hear:
- Courtney's background and having zero adventure racing experience
- Signing the scariest contract ever
- Overcoming self-doubt and just doing it!
- Shifting her mindset from winning the race to living and learning
- Drawing strength from people around you as much as they draw strength from you
- Why Courtney never wants to see bamboos ever again
- The power of embracing your lowest moment and just letting it wash over you
- Suffering from an eating disorder and honoring her vulnerability
- We all have the power to change our life!
