This year with our virus, our lockdowns, only a few remember that it is the 75th anniversary of the United Nations. However, one person remembers it well, an immigrant girl with the wrong name and the wrong background, who during the Eisenhower’s time heard one of our great ambassadors to the United Nations, Henry Cabot Lodge, and who decided then and there that she would somehow get to be part of that organization.

Tatiana Androsov goes back to the founding ideal with President Roosevelt and Prime Minister Winston Churchill during WWII and follows to the creation of the Charter in San Francisco in 1945, making a side remark that will leave you smiling.

She gives you numbers that will make you think again about what destruction really means and tells you about a United Nations African American hero you have probably never heard about – Ralph Bunche.

Prepare to celebrate the birth of the United Nations, our creation, this October with all the fanfare it deserves!
