Written and directed by Quentin Tarantino from a story he conceived with Roger Avary, Pulp Fiction tells three intertwining tales of crime and violence in Los Angeles, California. Jason and Rob rewind to 1994 to review the independent crime film that celebrates its 30th anniversary this year - a film that spends considerable screen time devoted to monologues and casual conversations, and features an ironic combination of humour and strong violence. Vincent Vega (John Travolta) and Jules Winnfield (Samuel L. Jackson) are hitmen with a penchant for philosophical discussions. Their storyline is interwoven with those of their boss, gangster Marsellus Wallace (Ving Rhames), his actress wife, Mia (Uma Thurman), struggling boxer Butch Coolidge (Bruce Willis), and master fixer Winston Wolfe (Harvey Keitel).
