Jason Connell and Sal Rodriguez break down the true crime story of the Hollywood Actor Runs $650 Million Ponzi Scheme in 2021. Zachary Horwitz, an actor with the stage name, Zach Avery, collected $650 million for his film company from 2014-2019. The 200 investors believed the funds would be used to purchase film distribution rights to movies that would be licensed to Netflix and HBO. Horwitz instead supported his lifestyle, which included buying a $6 million home. Horwitz was arrested on April 5, 2021, and on February 14, 2022, he was sentenced to 20 years in prison and ordered to repay more than $230.3 million.
