Jason Connell and Sal Rodriguez break down the true crime story of the Man Arrested For Overdue VHS Rental Of Freddy Got Fingered in 2016. On March 22, 2016, James Meyers, Jr. was pulled over for having a broken tail light and when the police officer ran his license plate he realized there was a warrant out for Meyer’s arrest. The warrant originated in February 2002 and was issued by J&J Video in Salisbury, North Carolina, and charged Meyers with a misdemeanor of failure to return hired property. The property in question was a VHS rental of Freddy Got Fingered, a 2001 comedy that was written, directed, and starred Tom Green.
