In this first conversation, Ash and Shelly Snow Pordea discuss Shelly's new book, 'The Cheating Wife,' which explores the themes of abuse, control, and the patriarchy within the context of a fictional story. They also touch on their own experiences with religious cults and the importance of raising awareness about the treatment of women within these systems. Shelly emphasizes the need for informed consent and proper training for counselors within religious organizations.
