Today's selection is from Surah 2, Al-Baqarah or the Cow, verses 72-86. These verses recount the miracle of bringing a dead person back to life and the Israelites' reaction to the miracle. It accuses them of hypocrisy in faith and taking credit for the word of God. It recounts the punishment of the Children of Israel for breaking their covenants with God.
