Hello. This is Pat Willie, the founder, and CEO of the not-for-profit ministry, The Gathering. When women gather when women worship. Thanks for joining us for this podcast, the two-minute prayer. I believe that prayer is essential. It is life-giving and life-sustaining, and it only takes just a minute to pray.
This is a series of prayers of comfort and peace for the holiday season. Father God, in the name of Jesus, we give you glory and praise. And we honor your name for your name is holy. You are our God, our Lord, and our savior. And God, as we enter into yet another holiday season, we pray that we will always remember that Jesus is the reason for the season. We thank you, Oh God, for the birth of the Christ child who came and that we might have life in him. He came in order that we may have joy and peace on earth. I pray for all of those who are going through difficult times during this season. But this is a season of first for many, the first time they have to go through the holiday season without a loved one.
So I pray and I ask God that you would comfort their hearts and their minds and their souls. And you will let them know that your word says you will never leave us nor forsake us. And we can be comforted by your word for all of your promises are yes and amen. So when you say God, I am with you, peace and comfort come to your heart.
When you say amen, you say it is so, and so it is. So we thank you for your abiding peace. We thank you for your abiding love. We thank you for the Christ child who came and became the savior of the world. In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen and Amen.
