Hello. This is Pat Willie, the founder, and CEO of the not-for-profit ministry, The Gathering. When women gather when women worship. Thanks for joining us for this podcast, the two-minute prayer. I believe that prayer is essential. It is life-giving and life-sustaining, and it only takes just a minute to pray.
Father God, in the name of Jesus, we honor you and we praise you and we magnify your name. We thank you for this lovely season when we get to remember the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and we get together with family and friends and show them love and show them compassion.
God, I pray in the name of Jesus that you would be in every setting. You will be in every gathering as we gather in our homes, as we gather around our loved ones, God, there would be an amazing peace and an amazing joy that only comes from you. God, we thank you that we are able to come together again, for we spent years absent from our families, but God, you have blessed us that we're able together again.
So we pray for your love. Would yes, cover a multitude of faults and sins and God that we would be focused on loving one another. Focus on healing relationships. Focus on forgiving one another. For Christ came into the world that we might have forgiveness in his name. Give us to show that same kind of love.
That you have for us, you said in your word, a new commandment I give unto you that we would love others as you loved us. Now, God, we pray that that love will spring forth in our hearts and our minds and our souls, and we will embrace our loved ones, our neighbors, and those who are less fortunate than we are, and that your compassion and our love and your love will show forth through us.
In Jesus name, we pray, Amen.
