Penn & Pops deliver another fantastic episode. The NBA Finals are finally upon us. Is Boston finally gonna bring the ring back to BeanTown or is Steph and Golden State gonna rise back to the top of the mountain? The Colts are “hunky dory” and the Pacers have some serious decisions to make in the upcoming weeks.
In the NBA Finals segment, the fellas discuss their thoughts on Boston vs. Golden State. Penn thinks the Celtics are more than equipped to get it done (in 7 games) and Pops agrees for the most part. Boston’s defensive schemes and ability to switch on the perimeter could and should give the Warriors threats throughout the series. Both coaches are phenomenal and it could come down to the role players along with good ‘ol fashioned “grit.” They agree the Celtics are slightly better as it pertains to both.
Penn & Pops talk about the current harmony within the Colts’ organization leading into OTA’s along with Kevin Pritchard’s upcoming decisions as it pertains to the Pacers NBA Draft Pick. Between their #6 pick and offseason trade and free agency, Indianapolis could have a pretty dope squad in the near future. Go Pacers.
The boys take a deep dive into NBA “What If” Teams. For instance, what if the Tim Duncan trade to Orlando went through allowing him to play with Tracy McGrady and Grant Hill? Wait ‘til you hear the reason that didn’t go through. Two words… Doc Rivers! In the Fine Print, the fellas discuss the Indy 500 and “Butler Brad” Stevens’ illustrious, twenty one year basketball career. He’s on his way to legend status.
