It’s the NBA Edition, friends. After a long summer talkin’ about the Colts, CFB and other sports, Penn & Pops take a deep dive into the upcoming NBA season. They discuss the Eastern and Western Conferences, their Finals picks and much more. It’s another funtastic Episode with these wild boys.
In ‘Around the World’, Penn & Pops breakdown the best weekend of College Football. Penn seemed to get one right (earlier this year) by stating Tennessee was a sleeper team who could find themselves in the CFB Playoff. An upset over Alabama was a great start. They also discuss MLB Playoffs, Daniel “Dumbass” Snyder (big ups to Jim Irsay fro wanting him GONE), the Colts’ last two games and their host their 1st interview with Mark Tinklenberg, a family friend and Head Coach of The Marysville Monarchs boys basketball team.
During the ‘NBA! NBA! NBA!’ segment, Pops breaks down the season as it’s the “Kickoff Week’ of the NBA. The Golden State Warriors look like the team to beat. Will they repeat as NBA champs or will the LA Clippers finally put it together and be the team representing the Western Conference in the NBA Finals? The Brooklyn Nets has a phenomenal preseason and look to finally be serious about puttin’ it all together, but the Celtics may have something to say about that. Benn Mathurin could be the 1st player to win Rookie of the Year & 6th Man of the Year in the same season.
‘The Fine Print’ delivers as always as Penn talks about the latest Brett Favre news. The fellas agree it’s closing in on the time to remove him from the Hall of Fame. They also talk about Frank Reich’s coaching lately, coming to the conclusion he may actually be of the coaching “Hot Seat”; especially if they get the win vs. the Titans this Sunday. Go Colts.
