I bet if you consider yourself a global citizen like myself you’ve used or at least heard of What’s App. So if you’ve moved to another country, have traveled internationally or had friends abroad, WhatsApp has become one of the most popular communication apps in the world. It’s even slowly making its way to the US.

Have you ever thought about using WhatsApp for networking with people worldwide? I haven’t until I met my guest on today’s show, Mr. Marc Jarrett. Marc runs 150+ WhatsApp groups covering all kinds of industries and business subjects. He has groups for powerful women, groups for podcasters, global networking groups, and even a group for avocado lovers. I’m personally part of that one, as I sure love me some avocado. Marc is on a mission to help US business people use WhatsApp to help them win more business globally. That’s exactly what we talked about on today’s show.

Marc is a huge proponent of global networking and niche networking and he has years of experience on this topic. After beginning his career in Banking and Futures Trading, he spent most of his career in the telecoms industry and was first-to-market with cellphone personalization products which went on to become a multi-million-dollar industry.

In 2009, he founded a boutique consultancy firm that helps his clients expand internationally. He is also VP Europe with Gottesman Company, America’s largest network of International M&A Brokers. Over the years. Marc has amassed an enormous network and he has been extolling the virtues of virtual networking long before COVID19 came along. On today’s show, we also discuss LinkedIn and how to use it to build connections and he shares advice for people wanting to build a global network.
