Content. In this episode, Joseph Jacobelli discusses with India power expert Arun Kumar how to go about digitally de-risking clean energy investments in India. Joseph first asks Arun about how he became involved in Asia’s energy transition. Then they discuss the crossover of digitalisation and clean energy projects investments and what is the role of digital energy technologies and solutions in reducing the investment risks in clean energy projects. Finally, Arun offers some forward-looking thoughts on the subject.
About Arun. Arun has been an active participant in India’s energy sector for over 25 years. He worked as a management consultant at leading domestic and global firms including KPMG. He was also a senior equity analyst at global financial institutions where he covered utilities in India and in ASEAN and was involved in one of Malaysia’s largest IPO. Arun served as the CEO of .Kreate and is currently the technology leader at the largest power trading company in India, PTC India, which annually trades almost 90 terawatt-hours of electricity. He has a Master’s in Economics, an MBA with a major in Finance, and is now studying Software Engineering - IoT, Cloud Computing and Blockchain - from Indian Institute of Technology Madras, one of the top institutes in India.
