FINAL EPISODE OF SERIES 2 - and we're finishing off with a belter (excuse the Musical Theatre pun...)
Philip Joel (@philipjoel87) is a performer and choreographer, but you might know him best from social media. What started as a bit of comedic relief for him and his friends snowballed and became regular sketch style videos watched by (feels like) everyone in the theatre world.
After pitching a theatre-based sketch show online, Philip was approached by people wanting to take the idea further and met his creative match in David Muscat of Emerge Production House. The rest is history, before he knew it, Philip was filming the pilot of the 'Fosse Forest Ballet' with MT royalty including Kerry Ellis and Louise Dearman! If you want to watch it, you can find it here and all proceeds go to Acting For Others and a cause very close to our own heart, the Theatres Trust.
As always, this episode is raising awareness of the amazing work happening at Theatres Trust, to support theatres throughout the pandemic and in their time of need. If you can spare anything it would be very much appreciated and you can donate here.
From the Backstage Revolution, we wish you a gorgeous festive period even if it looks a little different this year. Take care of yourselves, take care of your loved ones and stay safe x
