In the Summer of 2001, Amy Crosby and her then girlfriend, Von Edwards, went to Devin Tait's birthday party in North Hollywood. The trio had recently met through several drunken encounters at Karaoke nights in local dive bars like Apache and JOX. Toting a guitar and a painting they had made together, the pair serenaded Tait with the dark tune "Grady" which the painting had inspired. Within weeks, the trio had hooked up with their friend Billy Avarathar and drummer Roman Ratej (who went on to drum for TaTu), and began rehearsing songs Amy and Von had written previously under the moniker "Short Haired Girls Club". After splashing on some make-up, vibrant hair colors, sequins and latex, Shitting Glitter was born! Nine years later and many incarnations later, the band has just released their latest album �¢??Open for Business�¢??. The band�¢??s catalog is available from Amazon.com, CDBaby.com, and worldwide from iTunes. Joining me this week as my co-host is SG's resident go-go dancer, frequent co-host and bestie, Eric Johnson!
