Take a bite: This week we discuss the issue of representation in Crazy Rich Asians and the Psychology of Shopping with Lani Chan, Style Services Manager of Club 21, as well as resident podcast host Debra Langley, who in her previous life, worked with DKNY Jeans and has consulted with multi-label brands on the intersection of fashion and technology. We close the show by reviewing the new Screen Time feature—designed to provide greater insight into device and Internet usage—available as part of from Apple iOS 12.

00:00—Introduction

Our regular hosts Anita Kapoor (speaker and TV personality), Debra Langley (fashion and tech consultant), Benjamin Hopkins (health entrepreneur) and Norman Tan (editor-in-chief of Esquire Singapore) share what they've been up to since the last podcast.

04:24—"Coffee Catch Up"

In our fashion and style segment, the hosts discuss their thoughts on the movie phenomenon of 2018: Crazy Rich Asians.

22:17—"Fresh off the grill"

Feature segment with a new guest each podcast.

For this episode, we invited Lani Chan from Club 21, as well as our very own podcast host Debra Langley to discuss the psychology of shopping. What do retailers do to make us shop? Why do we get a buzz from shopping? How do men and women shop differently?

56:17—"Last call of the day"

This week with the help of Lani, we review the new feature Screen Time to be launched with Apple iOS 12. The feature offers customers a better understanding on how they are using their iOS devices by providing reports on daily and weekly usage.

Screen Time will be available when iOS 12 becomes available in September.
