Tune in to this Friday’s edition of the Brett Winterble Show!

Brett kicks off the program with a look at the latest labor market data. Employers in the U.S. added 114,000 jobs in July, but the unemployment rate increased to 4.3 percent. Private payrolls saw a modest rise of 97,000, and average hourly wages grew by only 0.2 percent, falling short of the 0.3 percent economists had predicted. Year-over-year wage growth stands at 3.6 percent, which is a decrease from last month’s 3.8 percent gain, marking the smallest increase in over a year.

Later in the show, Brett covers the recent news of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris welcoming three Americans who were released in a high-profile prison swap. The Americans arrived in Maryland, and President Biden expressed gratitude to all the countries involved in the international negotiation.

Bo Thompson/Beth Troutman from Good Morning BT is also here for this Friday episode of Crossing the Streams. Brett and Bo talk about vice president kamala Harris potential running mate for the 2024 election and also shares what Beth and Bo have coming up Monday on Good Morning BT!
