As you can imagine, I spent many years without any kind of real mentorship.Sure, maybe I had some helpful chats with the head of my department or my boss or someone a bit more senior than me in another department, but I was pretty much going through my career alone. The thing is, you always go further, faster, and to more interesting places if you get help consistently.
