Welcome to the latest episode of the Carlisle Cult Cinema Club Presents:
This week, PD & The Lads embark on an exhilarating journey through the vastness of space, in search of the origins of cosmic beings. As they delve into the depths of the ocean, they hear haunting chants of "la la cthulu fhtagn, la la cthulu fhtagn". Witnessing the ruins of R'lyeh at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean, they come face to face with the tentacled visage of the great Cthulhu, rising once again to reclaim Earth and awaken his brethren.
In this episode, we dive deep into the realm of movie adaptations of H.P. Lovecraft's works. Starting with the very first adaptation in 1963, "The Haunted Palace," we explore a range of films including "The Unnamable" from 1988, "Dagon" from 2001, "Whisperer in Darkness" from 2011, and two versions of "The Color out of Space" - the German release "Die Farbe" from 2010 and the 2019 Richard Stanley directed and starring Nicholas Cage release. And of course, we do it all in our unique and captivating style.
So sit back, relax, and grab your Necronomicon as we embark on this journey with the old ones. Join us as we delve into the world of Lovecraft adaptations and share our thoughts and insights. Get ready for an other unforgettable episode of the Carlisle Cult Cinemacast.
