The U.S. Supreme Court recently heard arguments on the controversial issue of whether or not social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter can discriminate based on political affiliation. Abdul-Hakim Shabazz invited me on his program to give the libertarian perspective on property rights versus the common good when it comes to free speech, and the potential consequences of regulating social media like a utility or common carrier, the importance of physical, interpersonal connection in the age of AI, and the future of legal challenges on this issue.
