In 2008 a Corruption and Crime Commission report established misconduct findings against two police officers who worked on the Pamela Lawrence case. Exonerated after spending over one decade in prison for murder, a crime he did not commit, Andrew Mallard died on 18 April 2019 at 1.30am from a hit and run incident just one decade after his release.
