ABOUT NAGA K SUCHARITA CHEEDELLA, MBBS

Naga K Sucharita Cheedella, MBBS, is a board-certified and renowned oncologist specializing in cancer drug development, Gastrointestinal cancers, and early-phase clinical trials. She is an expert in reviewing clinical trial protocol, designs and currently works in a phase 1 clinic providing guidance, leadership, and medical expertise to the study team.

She worked in faculty committees and pioneered multidisciplinary oncology clinics. She served as a clinical investigator for many clinical trials and published in high-impact journals like the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) Oncology, Annals of Oncology, and Cancer, and contributed to the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) daily news.

In her career as a physician for more than a decade, she mentored residents, medical students, and fellows, which speaks for a wealth of expertise in cancer education. As an oncologist and taking care of patients and families, she has been an ardent patient navigator. She strives to be a voice advocating the problems of patients.

She resonates with caregiver burden and challenges in decision making during medical problems and strives to decrease caregiver burnout by educating how to navigate decision points in a cancer journey. Her warm personality and genuine empathy are evident in her passion and patient care.
