Karen "Duff'' Duffy is a New York Times best-selling author, producer, former MTV VJ, and a former Coney Island Mermaid Queen. In 1995, Duffy was diagnosed with a rare form of the disease sarcoidosis and neurosarcoidosis. Since then, she's written two books about her experience living with chronic pain and is a member of the Alliance for the Ethical Treatment of Pain Patients. She writes and is enthusiastic about the wisdom of stoic philosophers, and her favorite quote is from Epictetus, “if you make beautiful choices, you will make a beautiful life.”

Dr Raj is a quadruple board-certified physician and associate professor at the University of Southern California. He was a co-host on the TNT series Chasing the Cure with Ann Curry, a regular on the TV Show The Doctors for the past 7 seasons, and has a weekly medical segment on ABC News Los Angeles.
