E449: TikTok has overtaken Google as the biggest search engine among Gen Z… the opportunity is huge.

It’s very easy to rank on TikTok and creators are getting lots of traffic. For example, Sabrina Ramonov who writes, “12% of all my TikTok views (around 1.3M/week) come from search and this % continues to grow.”

TikTok ranks on Google. The videos can (and should) be reused on Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts where it is even easier to rank on Google.

You could spend ten minutes on a video and rank a few hours later.

Not just that, TikTok SEO values freshness. You can continually pump out videos targeting the same keywords all while improving at making videos and building a brand and top-of-mind awareness.

If you manage to have a viral video, it will then continue to rank for a long time.
