Hey, y'all! It's Transformational Thursday and I'm sharing a powerful little tool that greatly impacts your marriage, your life and the way you pray and I'm so glad to share it with you. This past weekend was filled with some nasty, nasty weather that swept all through TX with tornadoes, thunderstorms, hail, and huge winds and rains. I had a girlfriend in town and what I wanted more than anything was to sit out by our fire pit and get lost in the flames. I've been obsessed with fire for forever. I don't know if it's because I'm a leo or that fire just seems to mesmerize me, but I seriously am so enchanted by dancing flames, I could spend hours getting lost in their magic. So, I was so nervous that the weather wasn't going to hold out for us to build a glorious fire, but as luck would have it, the weather held off for a couple of hours for us to get some good fire pit time in. My husband is one of those guys is goes above and beyond to make magic for me. So, naturally I pulled him close after building this glorious fire to say "thank you", which got me thinking about how often we say these two little words to each other. And... it's a lot! We probably say "thank you" on average of 10 times a day. We've really made it a point to acknowledge all the little things we do for each other and as a result, I think we both feel really appreciated, seen, and loved. We know the little things we do matter and in turn, we're both really motivated to keep pouring into each other because of it. I can honestly say simply integrating this phase has brought us closer together and I think we hold our marriage more sacred because we know how much we mean to one another. So, after this beautiful mushy moment together, I was thinking how "thank you" has shown up in my life in other ways too, especially when it's come to self-forgiveness and healing and being grateful for the trials and tribulations of my journey. I think it's such a power move for us to honor our paths. It's part of practicing reverence for all the things we've been through, the wisdom we've gained, and the ways in which our experiences have made us who we are today.

Yet, I also know that it can be so incredibly hard to be grateful for things that hurt us, especially when we're going through them. But I can honestly say, learning to be grateful for the tough things and how they've added to my life has better prepared me to have a more optimistic outlook for when I'm going through another tough time. I know there's a gem in there for me for my own personal growth and wisdom, which makes it a bit easier to navigate... at least more hopeful! Lastly, I started using the words "thank you" in my prayer life a couple of years ago and I've noticed a couple of things. 1. I feel much more confident that my prayers are being answered.

2. I feel much more confident in God's power and magic in my life.

3. I feel more confident in my ability to achieve my prayers because I'm already assuming they're a done deal or are working out to my highest good.

I LOVE switching asking to thanking in prayer and I'd love to hear how this lands for you! Do you have an experience in how "thank you" has shifted your marriage, your life, or the way you pray? I'd love to hear from you in the comments! And challenge yourself today to say "thank you". Really notice the little things and watch how it shifts your mood (and your life)! See you in a few days <3
