Summary:
Prendick is still on the run but believes to have maybe found an friend in the beast folk. He is lead into their enclosure by the Ape-man and is then instructed in the laws of the land by something called The Sayer of the Law who appears to just be a mound of white hair. A strange ceremony is performed where they all sing and chant these rules but they are soon interrupted by a noise from outside... a dog. Moreau and Montgomery have found Prendick and it soon appears that the Beast Folk are not here to help him. Prendick manages just to escape, but he now, instead of having just two after him, has the whole island.
