Our final session covers metastatic disease. First, you will hear from Dr. Hall about finding and treating metastases, then from Lucinda Innes about current and upcoming clinical trials, and finally you will hear from Dr. Brechbiel about family and patient coping with a mets diagnosis.

Dr. Evan Hall is an oncologist at Fred Hutch who specializes in treating patients with skin and kidney cancers. His research focuses on ways to measure and improve quality of life for patients with cancer.

Dr. Brechbiel is a clinical psychologist at Fred Hutch Cancer Center. Her grandfather’s legacy influenced her to work with people who were living with serious medical conditions or acquired new disabilities to help them learn to live with it instead of against it.

In 2021, Lucy Innes began to pursue her PhD at Weill Cornell Medicine in New York City. During her first year there, she was diagnosed with Ocular Melanoma. Since her diagnosis in the fall of 2022, Lucy has been delving into the interactions between the immune system and ocular melanoma, aiming to improve the future of immunotherapies.

This session is brought to you by Immunocore.

"Immunocore is a pioneering, clinical-stage T cell receptor biotechnology company working to develop and commercialize a new generation of transformative medicines to address unmet needs in cancer, infection and autoimmune disease. Their initial therapeutic focus is in oncology, where pivotal clinical trials are currently underway for their lead program, tebentafusp, as a potential treatment for metastatic uveal melanoma, a rare form of eye cancer. We thank them for being a return sponsor for the Eye Believe Survivorship Seminar."
