The new year is upon us and it’s time to set goals for 2021. Many of us do this same exercise every year but can we set better goals? Setting goals is a great start but achieving them often falls short. Goal setting can be difficult especially if you don’t do it regularly. The SMART goal format is one of the more pervasive templates for goal writing currently in the corporate world, so we will be using that format. SMART goals are especially challenging because it forces us to be very clear and precise. This process can be tedious but setting the right goals will help us achieve more and that’s the purpose of setting goals in the first place.
