The buddy cop genre is a familiar one in Hollywood, but there aren’t many that can boast the dynamism, charm and wit of Will Smith and Martin Lawrence in the Bad Boys franchise. Audiences have a lot of love for ‘Mike Lowery’ (Smith) and Marcus Burnett (Lawrence) and in this fourth outing, there’s the usual high jinx, car chases, and snappy one-liners fans have come to love. But the real question on everyone’s mind is, is it any good?
