This past week, Dr. Anthony Fauci testified before the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic.

The former top infectious disease official faced heavy criticism for his handling of the pandemic response, and alleged dismissal of the ‘lab leak theory’.

Lawmakers also grilled the former National Institutes of Health (NIH) official on issues like the lack of scientific reasoning behind six feet of social distancing and the justification of school closures.

Former Director of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Dr. Robert Redfield, was also on the frontlines of fighting COVID-19.

Redfield joined the Rundown’s Jessica Rosenthal shortly after Dr. Fauci’s testimony to give his reaction.

The former CDC head shared his thoughts on COVID origins, and whether he thinks Dr. Fauci and others tried to suppress the idea the virus came from a Chinese lab. He also responded to Dr. Fauci blaming social distancing recommendations on the CDC.

The conversation was long and we could not include all of it in our original FOX News Rundown segment.

On the FOX News Rundown Extra, you will hear our entire conversation with former CDC head Dr. Robert Redfield and get even more of his take on Dr. Fauci’s heated trip to Capitol Hill.
