The People in Our Lives
Manage episode 363324241 series 3425982
In this episode, Rick, Magnus and I discuss the importance of having our friends and family in our lives. Life can be distracting and many of us don’t reach out as much as we should when it comes to those important people. It’s not because we don’t love them. It’s not to say that we don’t appreciate them. It’s just that many of us don’t realize how valuable those relationships are until we’re in a situation where we see just how important it is.
I’ve recently had a major surgery and as difficult as the healing process can be for this type of surgery, I’m finding that I’m able to get through the process much easier because of those important people that I have in my life. Their thoughts and prayers and genuine concern for my well-being has been such an uplifting factor with my healing process that I felt I needed to not only acknowledge it - but to thank everyone for all they’ve done for me.
From my wife, Nadine who stood by my side this entire time to my old shipmates who have been reaching out through social media to let me know they have me in their thoughts and prayers and my co-workers who are constantly checking on me to make sure I’m doing well. This episode is dedicated to all of you.
So, if you have someone in your life that you haven’t spoken to in a while. Perhaps you’ve been meaning to reach out but just couldn’t find the right time or reason - know this….
ANYTIME is the right time.
ANY REASON is the Right Reason.
Just pick up the phone and call that relative that you haven’t heard from in a while.
Get on Facebook and send an inbox message to that old classmate that you haven’t heard from in a few years. You’ll be surprised by how much a difference you can make in not only their life, but your own as well.
