While some people may believe that women have the same opportunities as men and that women and men now are on an even playing field in society, the unfortunate reality is that we still have a ways to go.
Women, especially single mothers and women heads of households still face an uphill battle that we’ll be talking about during this episode. And that’s where Soroptimist International comes in.
Soroptimist is a global volunteer organization that provides women and girls
with access to the education and training they need to achieve economic empowerment.
Their Vision is that Women and girls will have the resources and opportunities to reach their full potential and live their dreams. In this episode, Jackie Lane and Debby Liew from Soroptimist International of Chehalem Valley will share how they are working to achieve this.
