Why are companies more than ever in the focus of cyber crime? After years of ransomware and trojans attacking consumers who have little money to pay the ransom, hackers have also undergone an evolution. They have realized that companies are a much better target.

It might take more time to hack and hijack an entire enterprise but the payoff is by far outstanding. Traditionally we would presume that enterprises are much better protected. That is true to a certain extent where the human factor then turns the wheel to the advantage of the hacker. Hackers have found out that companies invest heavily in defense but not in recovery.

The organisational structures even ensure that hackers can destroy any systems that were put in place for desaster recovery. This provides hackers a perfect bargaining chip. Listen in to find out how to increase your security by better understanding what ist happening.
