Dobby is a free elf, and Dobby has come to save Harry Potter and his friends! In episode 4, Demi and Jess are joined by honorary Half-Blood Princess Madi to talk all about Dobby. Topics include a listener shoutout, getting to know Madi, a quote about Dobby, Dobby fun facts, and a discussion about Dobby across the Harry Potter series. Jess kicks the conversation off with Chamber of Secrets. She and the others talk about what their first reactions to Dobby would be, the cruelty of his self-punishment, and even Dobby’s magical abilities, which turns into a hilarious joke of Dobby becoming president. Madi picks it up with Goblet of Fire. She and the others discuss Dobby’s interesting fashion choices and explore Dobby’s new career at Hogwarts and life as a free elf. Demi leads the conversation in Order of the Phoenix and Half-Blood Prince. From talking about Dobby’s brilliance with the Room of Requirement, bravery when he disobeys Umbridge, and loyalty and commitment to tailing Draco Malfoy, Demi and the others cover it all. She and the others discuss the significance of Dobby’s last act of bravery and loyalty and the significance of his death.
