In this episode, we look at the dynamics of a romantic couple. Issues in a relationship, when left unaddressed, are the biggest enemies of a relationship; compound that with coming from different backgrounds & racial groups, and the destructive force of those issues grows exponentially. Therefore, it is advantageous to develop healthy relationship habits as soon as possible, especially for interracial couples. So we wanted to do a show covering how you go about developing those healthy habits.

Our guest on the show is Alana Ogilvie, MFT, a Marriage & Family Therapist located in Portland, Oregon. She gives us all the "Ins & Outs" of couples counseling. We chat about everything; how she got involved in therapy, things to ask when considering couples therapy, how a typical session works, common pitfalls for couples, intimacy issues, and much more! If you are in a relationship (interracial or not) grab your partner, and listen to this one together!

If you have any questions or comments, you can find us at www.thehamstervillage.com on our contact page, or our social media pages (Facebook, or Twitter). Also, if you are in the greater Portland area, and you want quality help with your relationship, give Alana a call! She is knowledgeable, professional, and very good at what she does! Check out her website for more info here, www.sextherapyportland.com.
