Springfield Thunderbirds vs. Chicago Wolves. Yes, friends, it’s time for the 2022 Calder Cup Finals!

In episode 25 of The Holy GrAHL podcast, hosts Michael Liu, Zack Power, Andrew Rinaldi, Corey Swartz, and Deana Weinheimer welcome three players that have been tearing up the scoresheet for their teams all postseason long.

First, they welcome Sam Anas and Will Bitten from the Thunderbirds. What was the mentality like in the locker room during the Eastern Conference Finals? How did Bitten, along with former Laval Rocket Charlie Lindgren and Matthew Peca, band together and snatch victory against their former organization? And who is the team DJ? Find out this and more in their interview!

Then, we welcome Jack Drury from the Chicago Wolves. He talks about his rookie season with the Wolves, how his time with Växjö Lakers HC primed him for success, the best seatmate he’s had with the Wolves, and much more. We even get an off-camera cameo from Andrew Poturalski!

We also talk about the new head coach for the Ontario Reign, Marco Sturm, some key contracts already signed for next season, and American Hockey League alums making their mark in the Stanley Cup Finals.

But stick around for our Calder Cup Finals preview. How did Springfield and Chicago get there? What are the keys to victory? And most importantly, which team do your hosts predict to lift the 2022 Calder Cup?
