Joe Sales, is a devout Catholic who lives in London Ontario, Canada with his beautiful wife. Joe is also a blogger and speaker. He loves his faith, family, and friends. He continues to the best of his ability to strive for holiness in life, faith, and everything in between. This blog was launched in January 2016 by Joe Sales as a way to bring together his ministry of speaking and use of media in hopes of encouraging and inspiring others in their life, faith, and everything in between.

- Joe began blogging a decade ago
- He’s had a few different blogs over the years, but now has decided to stick with one blog
- Through blogging has been able to get into other social media platforms and connect with people online
- Covers a lot of different topics in his blog
- Blogs about life and faith, incorporating his own experiences

- Doesn’t want to force people to believe what he believes, but instead wants to encourage them to grow in their own faith
- Faith is not meant to be easy
- Joe started with MySpace, but felt it was geared more towards artists and musicians so he switched to Facebook
- From Facebook he was linked to Twitter, Gab, Instagram and other social media platforms
- Instagram is great for visual people
- Uses both a personal and a professional Facebook page
- Uses Facebook and Twitter to promote blog and make people aware of it, in the hopes they share it
- Social media is a way to help his blog audience grow
- His audience has grown worldwide through his use of Facebook and Twitter
- Number of viewers definitely grows by utilizing these social media platforms
- The Pope’s on Instagram (1,000,000 followers in the first 24 hours)
- Instagram’s partnership with the Pope was great PR
- The Pope has been using twitter for some time
- Pope is very social and social media is great for publicity and bringing people to the church
- A picture tells a story which then leads to engagement
- Joe says his blog is all about the people
- Knows that his blog will only get better
- Receives positive feedback and constructive criticism through social media and blogging
- Podcasts are a great partner for content for a website or a blog
- Joe also does public speaking
- Began public speaking in college
- Grew up with a learning disability and talks about overcoming these barriers to get to where he is today
- Wants to inspire and encourage others
- Has spoken at various conferences over the years
- Always looking for opportunity
- Always draws from his own experiences
- Using your story to help others can only make us better
- At the start he was on his social media all day
- Now he’s learned it’s good to disconnect
- Disconnect so you don’t miss out on everything that is happening in life
- Always good to take a step back from time to time to realize what’s going on outside of the internet
- Enjoy where you are as opposed to where the internet or social media might take you
