There is a false dichotomy that robs many of the happiness and fulfilment they deserve in life. Too many people sit back in life and don’t push themselves to reach their full potential. Maybe they’re afraid of the discomfort of growth, are in an okay spot the way they are, or can’t see themselves ever doing more. Then there are just as many people constantly striving for more, but ironically never feeling good enough. No matter how much they achieve, it never satisfies them. They are pouring the water of accomplishment into a bucket with a big hole in the bottom. Never stopping to appreciate how far they have come. The reality is, it doesn’t have to be this way. You can be both grateful for where you are and growing for more. A concept that a well known thought leader Ed Mylett calls ‘blissful dissatisfaction’. Today, we discuss that dynamic and how you can reach that point too. While sharing personal stories of we have both fallen too far on either sides of that spectrum.
