Heather L. Sunderman is an attorney with the KDR Law Group, P.A, which focuses on estates, trusts and fiduciary litigation in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia. She is a graduate, cum laude, of American University’s Washington College of Law. She also attended Duquesne University School of Law for one year as the recipient of a full scholarship.

She was admitted to practice in Maryland in 2003, the District of Columbia in 2010 and the Commonwealth of Virginia in 2017. She has litigated high-conflict cases in all three jurisdictions and regularly participates in Continuing Legal Education programs to keep up with the constant changes in the law. In addition to her litigation practice, Heather is trained as a mediator and collaborative law practitioner. She has been appointed by the Court on multiple occasions to represent children and disabled adults in guardianship matters. She has been named to the Maryland SuperLawyers Rising Stars list for 2013-2016 and again in 2018.

Heather received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Allegheny College, in Meadville, Pennsylvania, with a major in History and a minor in Geology. She was a member of Phi Alpha Theta, a history honor society.

Heather is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association and the Bar Association of Montgomery County.

Heather, who originally hails from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, lives in Gaithersburg, Maryland, with her husband and daughter.
