JJ suffered what he called the worst injury of his career thanks in part to the War Games structure. The dual steel cages surrounded a pair of rings, inside of which two teams of five battled in the ultimate "I Quit" match at the Omni in Atlanta on July 4, 1987. How violent was this match? Did Lex Luger refuse to "get color." JJ tells a funny story about his "public workout" in a match against Alan Martin on TBS prior to the first War Games match, and also reveals a long-held secret regarding the finish of the Lex Luger/Ric Flair World Title match in Baltimore the following year at the Great American Bash.
