The Ripple Effect Solution to Climate Change with Nobl Co Founder Sukhi Sindhu
Manage episode 382890154 series 3527527
Did you know that around 300 billion plastic bottles produced every year? With around 75% of them not being recycled!
A one litre PET bottle uses 162g of oil (producing CO2 emissions equivalent to driving a car for 1km) and 7 litres of water to produce and can take over 450 years to degrade.
In today’s episode you’ll hear our conversation with Sukhi Sindhu co-founder of Nobl Thirst.
Nobl Beginnings are the UK drinks brand that are unbottling the water market by combining an efficient affordable and more sustainable supplychain that produces bottled water that has less carbon footprint than plastic alternatives.
Nobl’s UK sourced natural spring water is packaged in square cartons which are 100% recyclable, 95% plant based and proven to generate 41% less CO2. With their packaging being mostly made of trees they felt it important to make sure more trees are being planted than being used so they are planting 1 tree for every case of 12 they sell.
Their sustainability journey doesn’t stop there. Nobl are investing in zero CO2 emission transportation and a UK based facility thats powered by renewable energy. They offset the carbon footprint of their workforce by planting trees and pay a real living wage to their employees.
Nobl’s impact as a business is inspiring with them committing to donating 1% of their total sales with 1% for the Planet and further 5% of profits being donated to charities and non profits.
