Chris Jones of Steel Dog Knives joins Bob "The Knife Junkie" DeMarco on Episode 477 of The Knife Junkie Podcast (https://theknifejunkie.com/477).

Chris is the part-time custom knife maker behind Steel Dog Knives, located in Tomball, TX.

Whether woodworking or home improvement projects, Chris always loved working with his hands and making things.

In 2018, while convalescing in the hospital after surgery, Chris watched a "Forged in Fire" marathon and was hooked on the notion of knife making. Once fully recovered, Chris began teaching himself the craft of knife-making, getting advice from a number of accomplished bladesmiths along the way.

Steel Dog Knives focuses mostly on stainless steel kitchen knives but also makes hunting, camping, and EDC fixed blades on a custom basis.

What Chris loves the most is working with a customer to build a custom Steel Dog knife that has a special meaning—something to be handed down through the generations.
