Today on The Marketing Podcast, Heather Watson and Brendan Quigley talk about messaging; who controls the message, how you get the message out and whether or not it all makes sense.

The past six months has been challenging for app developers publishing in the Apple App Store. Heather talks about the roller coaster of apps getting approved and then booted out of the App Store. It is a widespread issue affecting large and small businesses alike. Brendan talks about how businesses can still publish in the App store within the criteria and what businesses should be on the lookout for.

In a slightly embarrassing moment, Google flagged its own ad as spam on YouTube. Their ad violated their terms of service but it was quickly caught and fixed. Heather and Brendan talk about censorship and advertising.

New regulations about advertising to children are being proposed in Canada. Heather and Brendan talk about the role of government in regulating advertising and the role that regulations play in advertising.
