Over 23Million women all over the world experience miscarriage annually.

With the international women's week underway this week we focus on Miscarriages in Pregnancies , Infertility and lack of support during IVF treatments and how these impair mental health in women.
In the UK it is estimated 1 in 5 pregnancies end in miscarriages , and this figure also increases with the age of the mother putting a higher risk of miscarriage before the 20th week of pregnancy on women aged 40 and over .
Most women don't get the emotional support required to deal with the loss of their growing babies this triggers increased levels of anxiety , depression and sometimes suicidal tendencies especially when women experience recurrent miscarriage .
Most miscarriages are presented with vaginal bleeding but other symptoms include cramping ,abdominal pains and more .
My guest on this episode is Jennifer , originally from the Bronx in America but now resident in Poland .
she talked about getting pregnant just months after her marriage having seven missed miscarriages one after the other .
she explained how she discovered part of the cause of miscarriage was because herself and her husband had similar genes which made her body automatically activate its attack mode and killing off her growing foetus in the process .
She also had low progesterone and blood clotting issues which deprived her growing baby the needed blood supply for growth .
She described various treatments she went through before finally having a full term pregnancy but suffering pre-eclampsia and other complications during the pregnancy .
The devastating impact this had on her relationship with her husband and impacted on her emotional psychological and mental well-being.
