Kimby has a hypotheses that when we may find ourselves in The Midlife feeling unsatisfied with parts of our lives and therefore we act out with anger, and not necessarily at the proper source. We are at the point of our lives that no matter how we got here, we are in The Midlife and we are awakening and looking at and questioning all of the choices we have made, where we are in our lives, and where we hoped or wish to be. If we just sit in this churn up of emotions and thoughts they may fester and turn into anger and blame. We get it and we've all been there. Here's another option.
