Inside the black community, there has always been the issue of colorism. With the history of some plantation slaves ending up working in the field and some ending up working in the house, the stigma’s of each have continued well into 2021. So it’s no wonder that as a lightskin/pretty-boy singer #LeoAmari has heard all the wisecracks and jokes before.
Thankfully the new aged crooner has learned to use the stereotypes to his advantage. While he may be tired of being tried and tested by folks who take his perceived prettiness for a weakness, Young LA has combined the non-stop drive to create with the movie start good looks to propel himself to the spotlight.
