Maddy and Ryan watched an episode of The Gifted together live on the air and review it as they go, because that was a lot more fun than trying to do it any other way. In "eXtreme measures," Reed Strucker finds out that his daughter's new boyfriend Wes used to be a thief in order to survive on the streets, and that's a problem for some reason. Jace Turner continues participating in Sentinel Services' program to brainwash mutants and turn them into slave soldiers, but it seems like he has mixed feelings about it. Marcos lies to Lorna about rekindling his crime drama with Carmen. Blink has the best plotline in the episode, as we finally get to learn more about her backstory prior to the events of this show.
